Karin Munters Jameson teaches a three day workshop in Klein Technique during the Bodø Biennale. If you are a member of Fnnd you may apply for traveling funding to attend the workshop. Contact them on fnnd.no.
The workshop in Bodø will focus on introducing Klein Technique as a bodily method to gain an in-depth understanding of the movement apparatus, the unique body’s movement potential, function and expression. Concepts such as gravity, weight, spatiality, and origin of motion will be introduced and related to the body's mechanics and the structure of the skeleton.
The mission of Klein Technique™
is to teach people, dancers and non-dancers, to move properly through connecting their bodies to the floor, to the space, and to its many parts, to form a formidable whole. We are working with, and are interested in, deep changes in each individual’s movement patterns, which will become integrated, into their entire being. The goal is to teach movement from an individual perspective of internal knowing and understanding. The aim is toward maximum physicality in function and overall health.
