ARCHITECURE HATS | WORKSHOPS FOR PUPILS AT BODØ SCHOOL OF MUSIC & PERFORMING ARTS

Tuesday 01 Sept
Wednesday 02 Sept

16:30 - 19:30

Se Kunst i Nord-Norge (See Art in North Norway) / Bodø Biennale have initiated a partnership with the North Norwegian Centre for Design and Architecture (NODA) and Bodø School of Music and Performing Arts to conduct a workshop for the pupils at Bodø School of Music and Performing Arts.

Architecture surrounds us in our everyday, in the cities and villages we live in and pass through. Some buildings are anonymous, whilst others create a lasting impression. The most beautiful buildings are designed by renowned architects, who make the impossible possible and create building and impressions which stay with us for a long time. These completed buildings, which we know so well, have once been a thought, a small inspiration, a sketch, a drawing and a model. The workshop Architecture Hats challenges to transfer buildings from the inside to the outside of the head. Whether they are images of buildings that already have been constructed or a building that is envisioned, the architecture hats will inspire and release creativity, and are an opportunity to explore architecture through the form of a hat.

About the course
Supervised by the instructor, participants can use coloured paper, corrugated cardboard, scissors, staples and glue to make an "architectural hat". The result will be unique and eye-catching hats displayed during the opening ceremony of Bodø Biennale.
