PRAM WALK BODØ: Architecture and urban space | Jonas Bjørklund
Bodø Centre

Friday 04 Sept

13:30 - 15:00

Despite of its relative short history, the town of Bodø has been through dramatic events that still leave marks on the current townscape. The inner town holds several historic districts with its own characteristics and well-preserved buildings, with its own stories to tell. Bodø is also currently in a transitional period, where new types of buildings are being constructed, changing and adding to the existing urban fabric. Meanwhile, traditional urban spaces are remodeled, and new spaces are created. During this period of change, more people are moving to the inner town and habitate the area in new ways. How is this new urban life in Bodø, what impact do the surroundings have on the lives of town-dwellers?  And how can it be in the future? While walking the streets of Bodø we can approach this subject together by visiting interesting locations to talk about history, events, buildings and places.

The event is suitable for adults / parents with prams / baby carriers, who wish to participate in a pram walk with insight into Bodø's architecture and urban space.

Additionally, a «regular» architecture walk for adults will take place Friday morning and Sunday afternoon, see own event with registration form.
