Lilli Kanck (b. 1964, Bodø) has been thirty-three miles from the North Pole. She has dived with sharks. She has been 300m deep in a mini submarine. She has also participated several times in the North Norwegian Traveling Exhibition. 

Fifty-six years ago, Lilli was born in Bodø. She loves the city; especially the surrounding nature. With a photo-camera, she documents everything imaginable on her way; resulting in series of motifs, which may linger several years before they ever are displayed in an exhibition.

The photographs can also blend into other things she works with: scenography, illustration, graphic design and painting. She has worked in an vast creative capacity, which makes her working method as tutor in visual art expansive and dynamic. She teaches both in cultural schools and the prison. She supervises pupils who cannot participate in regular school curriculums, and those with mental and substance abuse issues. Lilli has completed several courses and creative workshops in photography, painting, drawing and land art.

The workshop will take Lilli’s varied creative backgrounds into account. Here, nothing is completely determined in advance. Come as you are, regardless of background and skill. Everyone is welcome to this workshop. Be inspired by the Biennial’s exhibition in the Art Association. We will work with different techniques and materials. Come and allow yourself to be challenged!
