In partnership with the Nordland county council, Bodø Biennale is hosting a two-day symposium that explores the role of art in present and future society.
The theme Art + Social Responsibility will question the role of art in social development and whether we need artistic competence in community development. The theme has international relevance but draws on local and regional currents, in Bodø and Nordland.
The symposium will include lectures, artist presentations, conversations and debate.
The symposium requires registration and is open to all.
Participating speakers and contributors (subject to change):
The film Four Studies of Oslo and New York (2012) by artist Ane Hjort Guttu will be shown during the Symposium.
