Bodø Biennale will officially open with an Art Walk through various spaces in Bodø centre. The opening will start 6 pm at Stormen Library (outdoor area, sea front) with welcome and opening speech by Ida Pinnerød, mayor of Bodø, and then commence with the Art Walk.
The Art Walk will commence at Stormen Libray (outdoor), along the Harbour Promenade, towards Breivika City Beach. During the walk, we will encounter dance students from the dance stream at Bodø Secondary School and Pias Balletstudio. Pluss works made by design and craft students at Saltdal and Bodin Secondary schools, with the ceramist Ingvild Greve Alsos, with reflections on Bodø and Saltdals history around boat building, fish and sea.
At Breivika city beach, the Art Walk will culminate in the performance DIORAMA (2017), excerpt, by choreographer Ingrid Fiksdal. Expected start: 6:45pm. Note: The whole version of DIORAMA will be shown Saturday 8. September at 1pm on Breivika city beach.
